Tuesday's prep roundup, Thursday's schedule

Jan. 31—Boys basketball

HULBERT 43, WARNER 31 — Class 2A No. 13 Warner (10-7) trailed 36-20 in the third quarter and was highlighted in the loss by Blake Ellis who finished with 16 points and was 5-for-6 on free throws.

OKAY 71, PORUM 39 — Class A No. 1 Okay held a 53-27 advantage headed to the fourth period and had five players in double digits. Diezel Davis led the Mustangs (18-4) with 16 points followed by Tito Ramos with 12 and Chase Clark with 11. Ashton Walters and Duckee Swimmer both finished with 10 points apiece. Porum (11-10) got its charge from Michael Wright's 20 points.

HILLDALE 56, LOCUST GROVE 54 — Hilldale survived a fourth period rally by the Pirates as they were outscored 23-10. The Hornets had a 31-15 cushion at the half and led 46-31 at the end of the third. Ty Wilson sparked Hilldale (9-7) with 18 points, Mason Forhan followed with 15 and Cole Leach added 12. At the line Forhan went 6-for-7 and Leach was 3-for-4.

FORT GIBSON 57, CATOOSA 47 — Fort Gibson (12-7) picked up the win as it was led by Ky Murrell's 14 points. The Tigers led 28-16 at the break and finished the third period up 44-32. Blane Scott, Brody Scott and Cooper Wicks all finished with 10 points. Murrell and Brody Scott combined to go 80 percent at the line, as both were 3-for-4.

GORE 47, KEOTA 44 — Gore outscored Keota 18-11 in the final period to seize victory after falling behind 33-29 in the third. Journey Shells finished with 16 points in leading The Pirates (13-9) who were up 21-19 at the half.

HASKELL 57, CHOUTEAU 47 — Haskell needed the fourth to solidify its win as Chouteau kept up the fight until the end. The Haymakers took a 27-21 lead at halftime and the Wildcats continued to keep the deficit manageable at the end of the third, 40-33.

Dylan Ozinga had 22 points and Brady Neal added 16 in leading Haskell (6-13).

MUSKOGEE 71, JENKS 58 — EJ James was on fire for Muskogee with 21 points while also recording four rebounds and three steals as the Roughers (9-10, 4-5) won a big District 6A-4 contest. Javian Webber added 19 points and finished with six rebounds for MHS.

BRAGGS 83, BOKOSHE 30 — Sam Hensley led Class B No. 9 Braggs with 18 points as the Wildcats had a 79-25 lead in the third period. Daryl Winter added 16 points while Jaylen Melton and Trey Ashley both ended with 12. Braggs (19-3) defeated Bokoshe, 112-24 in their last meeting only five days ago.

MORRIS 60, EUFAULA 47 — Eufaula dropped to 8-9. No stats provided.

LIBERTY 78, PORTER 22 — The Pirates fell to 1-9. No stats provided.

Girls basketball

WARNER 48, HULBERT 26 — Class 2A No. 8 Warner (14-3) cruised as it built a comfortable 30-9 halftime advantage. Alexis Fowler and Kambree Ellis led the Lady Eagles with 12 and 11 points, respectively.

OKAY 49, PORUM 37 — Alex Collins had 17 of her 24 points in the first half in leading Okay past Class A No. 18 Porum. The Lady Mustangs (16-6) were up 27-14 at the break. Addy Dishman had 12 points for the Lady Panthers (17-3) in the loss.

LOCUST GROVE 61, HILLDALE 25 — Hilldale (5-10) dug itself into an early 19-6 hole in the opening stanza and never recovered as Class 4A No. 19 Locust Grove padded its lead to 30-8 at the break. Darian Diles had eight points for the Lady Hornets who lost 73-41 to the Lady Pirates on Jan. 9.

FORT GIBSON 64, CATOOSA 9 — Class A No. 4 Fort Gibson beat Catoosa on the road, 63-16 on Jan. 9 and Tuesday night's rematch was no different. Laynee Stanley had 13 points and Brenlee Moore added 11 in leading the Lady Tigers who opened a 29-0 first period lead, and Held the Lady Indians to just three points in the second. Fort Gibson took a commanding 51-3 advantage into the half. Catoosa was again held scoreless in the third period and the Lady Tigers (14-5) continued their domination as they upped their lead to 60-3.

GORE 43, KEOTA 23 — Gore had a 32-20 third quarter lead and was ahead 21-11 at intermission. River Shoemake had 10 points for the Lady Pirates (5-15).

EUFAULA 44, MORRIS 41 — Class 3A No. 14 Eufaula overcame a 21-15 hole in the first half and in the third quarter went on a 15-3 run, taking a 30-24 lead. The Lady Ironheads (11-7) were powered by Kambry Williams who finished with 18 points while Allie Anderson added 12 and went 7-for-10 at the line.

PORTER 48, LIBERTY 31 — Porter had little trouble in defeating Liberty as it turned a nine-point intermission advantage into a 40-22 third quarter lead. Aaliyah Moore finished with 16 points in highlighting the Lady Pirates (12-9) while Remi Haworth had 13 points and went 2-for-3 at the charity stripe.

CHOUTEAU 39, HASKELL 30 — The Lady Haymakers surrendered an 18-15 halftime lead and fell behind 29-23 in the third. RiLee Morgan finished with 13 points in the losing effort for Haskell (7-12).

JENKS 59, MUSKOGEE 31 — Muskogee faced a deep 37-18 deficit after the first half and the Lady Roughers couldn't find a way to rally. Malaysia Burton finished with 20 points and was 5-for-8 on free throws.
