Watch: Beloved actor Conchata Ferrell dies following health problems
Two and a Half Men star Conchata Ferrell has died at the age of 77.
The actor played forthright housekeeper Berta on the long-running sitcom for 12 seasons between 2003 and 2015 opposite stars Jon Cryer, Charlie Sheen, Ashton Kutcher and Angus T. Jones.
She died on Monday 12 October in California following complications from a cardiac arrest.
Ferrell received two nominations at the Primetime Emmys for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2005 and 2007 for her work on the sitcom.
Her co-stars shared tributes to the late star on social media following her death as they reflected on their time spent working together.
Sheen, who had his contract with the show terminated in 2011, posted a snap of him and Ferrell on set.
He tweeted: "An absolute sweetheart a consummate pro a genuine friend a shocking and painful loss. Berta, your housekeeping was a tad suspect, your "people" keeping was perfect."

Meanwhile, Cryer spoke of the actor's real life "warmth" beneath the character.
"She was a beautiful human. Berta’s gruff exterior was an invention of the writers. Chatty’s warmth and vulnerability were her real strengths.
"I’m crying for the woman I’ll miss, and the joy she brought so many," he wrote.

Co-creator Chuck Lorre said: “We called her Chatty. And we all loved her. Twelve years of highs and lows, and lots and lots of laughter. Through it all she was a rock. One of the greats. I was privileged to call her a friend.”
Fellow Two and Half Men creator Lee Aronsohn added: “RIP Conchata Ferrell. A warm, wonderful woman who was always a joy to be around on set. My heart goes out to her husband Arnie, who was *always* by her side. Bye, Chatty.”
Ferrell's other roles included parts in films Mystic Pizza and Edward Scissorhands as well as spots in shows such as E/R and Friends.
