Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton will find that a lot has changed when he reports into Liverpool pre-season on July 1. He will now be playing under Arne Slot — but for how long remains to be seen, with significant transfer interest in his services.

Following a successful Championship loan at Blackburn Rovers, the 21-year-old once again excelled at Hull City last season. That's caught the attention of a number of clubs, who could be set to put some interesting proposals on the table.

Morton, who played nine times under Jurgen Klopp in the season before his first loan away from Anfield, may yet play his way into Liverpool contention. Slot faces a big decision over the player his predecessor once praised for his 'outstanding football brain'.

And Liverpool will not let him go on the cheap, even if he is sold. Per The Times, he is valued at $25m (£20m/€24m).

But suitors have not been entirely put off, and an interesting cluster of clubs are showing an interest. According to the same report, virtually the entire Championship would like to take him on another loan — but that's unlikely to appeal, with Morton ready to progress to the next level.

He could be offered that opportunity at RB Leipzig. The Bundesliga side is keen on securing his services permanently, and has a reputation for developing young talent.

On the other hand, Fabio Carvalho, who spent the second part of the season with Morton at Hull, might sound a note of caution. He wasted the first half of his campaign with Leipzig himself, barely able to get a kick.

Other options for Morton include Eintracht Frankfurt and Sevilla. Either move would see him test his abilities in one of Europe's top five leagues; the English pathway to the Bundesliga is well-trodden, while Jude Bellingham has been a trailblazer in La Liga.

Meanwhile, a somewhat left-field suitor is Feyenoord. No doubt Slot would tell him plenty of good things about his old club if the topic arose during pre-season, although Morton might be too busy trying to impress the new head coach to ask him.

Any of these moves would be quite exciting for Morton, who has clearly made an impression on teams far and wide. But the ultimate goal is still surely to make it at Anfield, and it remains to be seen if he can be tempted to leave.

Liverpool.com says: Morton just needs to get back for pre-season and take it from there. Realistically, Slot can't be expected to know loads about him, but a few weeks on the training ground could change all that, and there's a chance to be a big part of the new coach's plans.

However, if it's becoming apparent that he will be some way down the pecking order, he has some great options. One way or another, Morton has earned the chance to take the next step in his career.
