UFC 194 Weigh-in Results: Fighters Get Heated, but Aldo vs. McGregor is On!

Jose Aldo Targets Conor McGregor for UFC 205 in New York

More than a year in the making, the featherweight title bout between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor has finally arrived.

They and the rest of the UFC 194: Aldo vs. McGregor athletes weighed in on Friday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, making the fight card official.

Every other bout at UFC 194 has been overshadowed by the ever-growing feud between UFC featherweight champion Aldo and interim titleholder McGregor. The two made moves at each other during their staredown after weighing in. UFC president Dana White kept them apart, but didn't quench the fire that burns between them.

“I'm sick of talking about Jose,” said a gaunt looking McGregor. “I visualize and I look at his face, his features, and I know that the soft parts of his face won't be able to take my shots.”

Looking much more fresh than his opponent, Aldo said, “I don't care what (McGregor) has to say. I'm coming in here tomorrow night and I'm still gonna be the champion.”

The UFC 194 co-main event is a bout that would headline almost any other card at any other time of the year. Middleweight champion Chris Weidman, undefeated at 13-0, puts his belt on the line for the fourth time when he faces former Strikeforce titleholder Luke Rockhold.

While there is heat between Weidman and Rockhold, they're trash talk can't hold a candle to Aldo vs. McGregor, even though the fight may end up being every bit as good or better.

“Chris has been a great champion, but I've taken this game to a new level. I'm gonna give these fans something to cheer for tomorrow night,” said Rockhold, after stepping off the scale.

“He's never faced anybody like me before. He lives off the fact that he trains with Cormier and Velasquez,” said the champion, Weidman, before adding, “It's gonna be a finish; that's all I know… a finish.”

The fight card doesn't drop off much after the two co-headlining bouts. Jacare Souza and Yoel Romero meet in a middleweight bout that could determine the next challenger to the winner of Weidman vs. Rockhold, Demian Maia and Gunnar Nelson are featured in a pivotal welterweight bout, and Max Holloway will attempt to keep his run towards featherweight contention rolling along when he faces Jeremy Stephens.

MMAWeekly.com will have UFC 194: Aldo vs. McGregor Full Results and Live Fight Analytics during Saturday's event, beginning with the first bout at 6:30 p.m. ET / 3:30 p.m. PT.
