UFC 200 Weigh-in Results: Miesha Tate Averts Missing Cut-Off; Johny Hendricks Misses Weight

It has been a tumultuous road to UFC 200, but with the fights a day away, the fight card is finally settled as the fighters on the card weighed in Friday in Las Vegas.

Though UFC 200 was initially to feature Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor, then Daniel Cormier vs. Jon Jones, then Brock Lesnar vs. Mark Hunt, the main event has finally settled in on Miesha Tate putting her bantamweight championship on the line against Amanda Nunes on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena.

There’s no turning back now, as their bout was made official on Friday with Tate weighing134.5 pounds, and Nunes tipping the scale at 135.

Thought they both made weight, Tate kept things interesting by waiting until the final minute to get on the scale. If she hadn’t stepped on the scale by the 10 a.m. local cut-off time, Tate would have been disqualified and pulled from the fight card.

Nearly everyone else made it a mere formality. Everyone hit their marks, except for former welterweight champion Johny Hendricks, who stepped on the scale, trembling, to officially weigh-in 0.25 pounds over the limit for his bout with Kelvin Gastelum.

Having a history of struggling with the welterweight limit, after missing weight on Friday, Hendricks will have to forfeit 20-percent of his show money to Gastelum.

With the rest of the card making weight, the UFC's biggest card to date can move forward with bouts such as Lensar vs. Hunt, Cormier vs. Anderson Silva, and Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar.
