UFC Bantamweight Julianna Pena Arrested for Alleged Assault

UFC bantamweight contender Julianna Pena founder herself in hot water early Sunday morning, as she was arrested for allegedly participating in a fight outside of a bar in Spokane, Wash.

Pena, who won the eighteenth season of The Ultimate Fighter, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault by the Spokane Police Department, according to MMAFighting.com.

She was booked into the Spokane County Jail at 2:53 a.m. on Sunday, then released at 2:20 p.m. on Sunday after posting bond. Pena was charged with two counts of assault.

Pena, 26, is currently the No. 6 ranked fighter in the UFC women’s bantamweight division. She last fought in October, winning a unanimous decision over Jessica Eye. Her next fight has not been booked yet.

Although aware of Pena’s situation, UFC officials had not commented at the time of publication.
