The Ultimate Fighting Championship has released several fighters recently, including two The Ultimate Fighter winners. Over the past few days, the fight promotion has handed at least 21 fighters their walking papers.
Francisco Trevino, TJ Waldburger, David Michaud, Eddie Gordon, Marcus Brimage, Chris Clements, Christos Giagos, Matt Van Buren, Roger Narvaez, Lewis Gonzalez, Ivan Jorge, Naoyuki Kotani, Willian Macario, Joe Merritt, Pawel Pawlak, Hernani Perpetuo, Vagner Rocha, Amir Sadollah, Leonardo Mafra Texeira, Luke Zachrich and Roger Zapata are no longer part of the UFC roster.
The information was gathered through social media posts and UFC Fighters Info.
The release of Trevino was expected. He shoved referee Herb Dean following his first-round TKO loss to 19-year-old Sage Northcutt at UFC 192. It was later revealed that Trevino failed his post-fight drug test for marijuana.
The 33-year-old confirmed his release via Twitter.

Just letting my fans know that I've been cut from UFC for the time being due to being an inactive fighter. (Injuries and family matters) — TJ Waldburger (@TJWaldburger) October 19, 2015
First goal is to heal up and get back to training. My family is relocating to the Dallas area to be with my brother who is battling cancer.
