In addition to all 24 fighters being tested for the usual set of PEDs, which includes anabolic agents and diuretics/masking agents, six randomly selected fighters were also tested for EPO.

“The Brazilian Athletic Commission of MMA (CABMMA) reports that all fighters were subjected to doping control tests to detect the presence of anabolic agents, diuretics/masking agents, stimulants and cannabinoids at UFC Fight Night: Maia x LaFlare, held in Rio de Janeiro (RJ) on March 21, 2015,” read the commission’s statement.

“All fighters showed negative results in their respective examinations.”

The Brazilian commission stated that all tests were conducted at a World Anti-Doping Agency approved laboratory.

Brazilian welterweight Demian Maia won a five-round unanimous decision over American Ryan LaFlare in the night’s main event.
