UFC Fight Night 77 Fighter Bonuses: Knockouts Were the Order of the Night
With several exciting finishes to choose from on Saturday night, UFC officials decided to forgo with a Fight of the Night award at UFC Fight Night 77: Belfort vs. Henderson 3 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and instead issued four Performance of the Night awards. Each was accompanied with the usual $50,000 bonus.
Not surprisingly, Vitor Belfort was one of the award winners with his main event knockout of Dan Henderson. It was the second time in his career that he knocked out Henderson, and he did so is explosive fashion.
Belfort rocked Henderson with a head kick, then dropped and finished him with punches on the canvas.

Knockouts were the order of the night, as Glover Teixeira and Thomas Almeida also scored $50,000 bonuses for their victories. Teixeira knocked out Patrick Cummins in the night's co-main event, while Almeida made quick work of Anthony Birchak and improved his record to 20-0.
The lone submission victory to win a Performance award was that of Thiago Tavares, who submitted Clay Guida in just 39 seconds of their preliminary bout.
