In the fight card's main event, fourth-ranked light heavyweight contender Glover Teixeira knocked out former champion Rashad Evans in the opening round.

Teixeira pressured Evans and stalked him down. After backing Evans against the cage, Teixeira landed a left hand that stunned the former titleholder and followed up with a right hand that put him to sleep.

In the co-main event, third-ranked women's strawweight Rose Namajunas avenged a 2013 loss to fourth-ranked Tecia Torres, defeating “The Tiny Tornado” by unanimous decision.

Namajunas used her reach advantage to keep Torres on the outside and secured takedowns late in the second and third rounds to do enough to capture the win.

UFC on FOX 19 featured five knockouts, two submissions, and four decisions.
