Bart Verbruggen and Holland are heading to the last 16 of Euro 2024.

But the Albion goalkeeper said he was a bit disappointed with a 0-0 draw against France.

Verbruggen made a couple of notable saves, tipping over from Antoine Griezmann and then getting his foot to a mis-hit shot by the same player to poke the ball past the post.

The result means Jakub Moder and Poland are definitely going out in the group stage.

Holland had a second-half goal controversially disallowed.

Xavi Simons, who spent last season on loan at Leipzig from Paris St Germain, fired into the bottom corner, but his effort was ruled out by referee Anthony Taylor, with Denzel Dumfries adjudged to be blocking France goalkeeper Mike Maignan.

Fellow Premier League official Stuart Atwell conducted a lengthy VAR check before sticking with the on-field call.

Verbruggen was pleased with the clean sheet and set his sights on three points against Austria in the final group game.
