Victoria and David Beckham celebrate wedding anniversary with matching outfits tribute

Victoria and David Beckham celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary on Sunday by paying tribute to their love of matching outfits.

The fashion designer and former soccer star are no strangers to wearing coordinating clothes, having memorably posed in vivid purple ensembles for their wedding after-party in 1999 and stepping out in copycat black biker leathers for a Gucci show that same year.

As the pair took to social media to reveal their love is still going strong, David couldn't help but poke fun at some of their most talked-about fashion moments on Sunday - and revealed the pair continue to wear similar styles now.

"22 years later, still matching outfits. Happy anniversary love u so much and thank you for giving me our amazing kids so we can all wear the same," David wrote on Instagram as he posted a series of photos of the pair in matching outfits, including the biker leathers and coordinated purple wedding look, followed by a series of laughing face symbols and red hearts.

Victoria and David have four children together - Brooklyn, 22, Romeo, 18, Cruz, 16, and nine-year-old Harper.

One of the shots shared by David showed the whole family wearing navy silk pyjamas as they celebrated Christmas, while other recent images featured the loved-up couple posing in similar khaki jackets as they enjoyed a walk around their Cotswolds home.

And to continue the theme, their latest look saw them team matching white T-shirts with beige trousers for David and high-waisted cargo camel shorts for Victoria.

Victoria, 47, also joined in the anniversary fun, sharing a sweet video montage to remember her long-standing relationship with David which included footage of the pair dancing in their purple outfits at their wedding, clips of them dancing and hugging Harper and sharing a joke during Victoria's Spice Girl days.

"I love you David. Happy Anniversary," the star wrote to accompany the video.
