Indian pacer Jaydev Unadkat has spoken on how Indian skipper Virat Kohli has brought a lot of change in his captaincy over the years. Notably, Jaydev Unadkat had the opportunity of playing under Virat Kohli in the Indian Premier League in 2013 in the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise.

Virat Kohli has been leading RCB since the 2013 edition of IPL. He was made the captain of the Indian Test team in 2014 and since MS Dhoni stepped down as the Indian limited-overs captain in 2017, Virat has been leading the Men in Blue in the limited-overs format.

Jaydev Unadkat Reveals how Virat Kohli Has Emerged As A Skipper Over The Years

Speaking exclusively to Cricketaddictor, Jaydev Unadkat said, “For Virat, the passion remains the same. Maybe, he has brought in tactical changes in his captaincy because that comes with experience. I see the same passion that he had back then and that he has now.”

Jaydev is currently along with Rajasthan Royals (RR), preparing for the 2nd leg of IPL 2021 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Rajasthan Royals were on the 5th spot in the IPL 2021 points table when IPL 2021 came to a standstill earlier this year.

Virat’s Failure In ICC Events Has A Left A Dark Spot

Virat Kohli’s captaincy has been under the scanner in the limited-overs format ever since has assumed the responsibility. This is because of his inability of winning ICC trophies and the T20 World Cup later this year could prove to be a massive tournament for Virat Kohli the captain.

In Test cricket, team India has shown commendable progress from 2014 and have gone on to win Test series in Australia twice. In the recently concluded series against England too, India were leading the series 2-1 when it had to be cancelled due to COVID complications in the Indian camp.

However, Virat wasn’t able to win the maiden ICC World Test Championship title for India as the subcontinent giants were beaten by New Zealand in the final of the tournament which took place earlier this year. This has also led to the criticism of Virat Kohli’s captaincy in recent times.
