Vivianne Miedema sets new WSL record as Arsenal Women maintain unbeaten start with win over Manchester United

Vivianne Miedema set a new Women’s Super League record as Arsenal maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a comfortable 2-0 win against Manchester United.

Miedema put Arsenal ahead early in the second half with her 13th goal of the season to become the first player in WSL history to score against every team they have faced.

Katie McCabe sealed victoty from the penalty spot as Arsenal got back to winning ways after their 1-1 draw with Tottenham last weekend.

Arsenal, who also hit the bar twice as they cruised to victory at Leigh Sports Village, look ready to go the distance with Chelsea in the title race this season

This win against Manchester United ensures the Gunners go into the international break top of the table, ahead of Chelsea who remain hot on their heels just a point behind them after they thrashed Birmingham 5-1. Sam Kerr scored a hat-trick for the Blues.

Elsewhere, West Ham beat Tottenham 1-0.
