Wagoner coach to be inducted into Hall of Fame

Mar. 4—Wagoner football coach Dale Condict will be enshrined in the Oklahoma Coaches Association Hall of Fame in July.

Condict has led the Bulldogs football team to six Class 4A state championships since 2011. This past season the Bulldogs lost to Blanchard 19-14 in the championship game in a bid for a seventh title.

Coaches Hall of Fame inductees are individuals in the high school coaching profession that have 15 years as a head coach, or 25 total years as a head coach, head junior high coach, or assistant high school coach in Oklahoma.

Other members of the 2024 class are Grace Dozier from Carl Albert High School, Brad Farrow from Broken Arrow, Kirk Fridrich from Union, Greg Henning from Tuttle, Gark Higgins from North Rock Creek, Mark Kedy from Ada, David Sammons from Edmond, Gary Stevens from Cleveland and Shirley Webster from Heritage Hall.

Former Northeastern State men's basketball coach Larry Gipson will be inducted as a Distinguished Service honoree. Gipson led the Redmen to the 2003 NCAA Division II national championship.

Distinguished Service inductees are those persons in the coaching profession that have made a direct contribution to athletics in Oklahoma, but do not have the required number of high school years' service; or, those officials, athletic trainers, players, etc., that have made a direct contribution to the growth and well-being of the Oklahoma Coaches Association.

The induction ceremony will take place at Southern Hills Marriott Hotel, located at 1902 E. 71st St. in Tulsa at 6:30 p.m. July 20 and will be part of the OCA Coaches Clinic and All State Week.
