Albion fans will have to wait just a bit longer for FA Cup action in the coming season.

The FA have announced dates for each round of the 2024-25 competition.

And there is a small change for the third round.

That is the stage when Premier League clubs, such as the Seagulls, and those from the Championship make their entrance and is traditionally on the first weekend after the New Year celebrations.

Next season, third round ties will be staged around the weekend of Saturday, January 11.

The fourth round, usually played in late January, will be around the weekend of February 8.

The fifth round will be based around the weekend of March 1 with the quarter-finals four weeks later.

The semis will be on the last weekend in April and the final on May 17.

There will be no midweek rounds next season.

The great old competition gets under way well before January.

The first Sussex clubs will enter the FA Cup in the extra preliminary round, which will be played on August 3.

League One clubs, such as Crawley Town, and those from League Two will enter on the weekend of November 3, when the first round is played.
