Warrington Town's National League North place officially confirmed

WARRINGTON Town’s place in the National League North for next season has been officially confirmed.

The Football Association have today revealed the allocations for its National League Systems at Steps 1-6 for 2024-25, which affirm Yellows will have a second season at Step Two.

Having comfortably stayed up on the pitch by finishing 12th, Town were waiting on their recent ground upgrades being given final approval as being fit to continue hosting National League North football.

Now, it has been confirmed the ground, which now has a renewed, increased capacity of 3,094, has passed its grading inspection and the club can officially plan to remain at their new level.

They will be joined by four newly-promoted clubs – they will do battle with old adversaries Radcliffe and Marine once again after they were promoted from the Northern Premier League Premier Division while there will be first ever meetings with Leamington and Needham Market, who were both promoted from the Southern League’s Premier Central division.

They will also face Kidderminster Harriers and Oxford City – both of whom were relegated from the National League – for the very first time next season.

As expected, Warrington Rylands remain in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, where they will have several new rivals next season.

Blyth Spartans, who were relegated from the National League North, will head to Gorsey Lane for the first time, as will promoted Stockton Town and Mickleover, who have been laterally moved back into the NPL.

Leek Town, Hebburn Town and Prescot Cables are also new additions to the NPL's top flight for next season.
