Double Grand Slam tennis champion Andy Murray reflects on the life changing decisions and sacrifices that he and his family made so he could achieve his dreams in a a film just released by Standard Life.

The short film tells the story of Andy’s brave decision to move to Barcelona to pursue a career as a professional player at 15. He expresses a deeper understanding of what this meant to his own family after becoming a father himself this year.  

In reaction to never-before seen footage, Andy sees his 13 year-old-self express his ambitions and aspirations to play at Wimbledon and become one of the illustrious top 10 players in the world.

In the film, those that contributed to Andy’s success reminisce about the hard work and determination that Andy displayed at 15. Past coaches Leon Smith and Pato Alvarez feature, with Alvarez describing Andy as "the best player [he] has ever coached."

This year, Standard Life’s partnership with world No.2 Murray tells the story of advancing ambition and commitment to excellence as part of the "Master Your Dreams" campaign. With their exclusive access, Standard Life has created a series of short films focusing on Andy’s ambition, dedication and passion to succeed.

This second film in a series of four takes gives detailed insight into the sacrifice that Andy and his family made for him to succeed. This film is released ahead of the French Open; the remaining films will be released ahead of each Grand Slam.
