Watch Jefte get down with Rangers lingo as translator Danilo teaches him to say 'we are the people'

Jefte has wasted no time in getting acquainted with life at Rangers by learning the phrase "we are the people."

The Brazilian left-back was unveiled as Gers' first summer signing this evening as Philippe Clement kickstarted his summer rebuild with the first piece of the jigsaw. He's been tracked by the Ibrox club for some time after attempts to bring him to Glasgow in January fell through.

But the Belgian finally landed his man and told of his delight and signing such an exciting young talent. Jefte has signed a four-year deal and will now compete with Ridvan Yilmaz at left-back, or potentially even ANOTHER signing in that position as Football Scotland told you earlier.

If he's going to be around for four years, then Jefte will need to acquaint himself with life in Glasgow and Rangers as a club. And he has been doing exactly that with fellow Brazilian Danilo, who signed for the club a year ago from Feyenoord.

In one of the clips Gers' social media team have put out after announcing the deal, the new man is seen draped in a Brazil flag as snappers get some pictures.

One the pictures are all taken, Danilo turns English teacher and, one word at a time, gets Jefte to say 'we are the people' the phrase popular with fans. By the end of the club, he is able to say it by himself so it appears to be job done.
