West Brom Fan View: Who should stay and who should go?
West Bromwich Albion are certainties to be relegated from the Premier League this season. Although survival is still mathematically possible, only a miracle of epic proportions could save the Baggies now. Relegation has been on the cards for some time and the arrival of Alan Pardew has made no impact, thus Albion’s fight for survival never even got going.
So, with life in the Championship all but confirmed, which players should stay? And who are surplus to requirements? Let’s take a look at the three biggest decisions…
Jonny Evans – GO
Since his arrival from Manchester United in August 2015, Jonny Evans has been a mainstay in the West Brom team and has been consistently impressive. Although he has fallen below his usual standard this season, the 30-year-old remains an excellent defender, but his time at The Hawthorns has likely reached an end. With rumours of a £3 million release clause in his contract, he will surely depart for a Premier League team in the summer.

Nacer Chadli – GO
Much was expected of the Belgian when he joined the club in August 2016 and he’s shown in glimpses that he’s a player with fantastic ability. Unfortunately for Chadli, he’s never been able to produce consistently, largely due to injury issues and tactical restrictions. Due to his wages and transfer value, it would be best for all parties to cash in on a player that never truly fitted in at Albion.
Jay Rodriguez – STAY
Honourable mentions
