West Ham aiming to win Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup this season, says David Sullivan

West Ham are aiming to win the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup this season after a summer of heavy investment.

Monday's capture of Javier Hernandez for £16million followed the club-record fee spent on Marko Arnautovic and co-owner David Sullivan sees no reason not to mount a challenge on three fronts.

Jose Mourinho put West Ham among possible title challengers for the 2017/18 season and Sullivan, who accepts it is "very, very unlikely", is buoyed by the achievements of Leicester City a little over 12 months ago.

“It is very tough to get into that top seven, and Everton have spent a fortune," Sullivan told talkSPORT.

"The top four have really spent huge money. The Man United manager [Jose Mourinho] was building us up [recently] because he wants to say ‘we are playing a tough team in our first game’!

“After Leicester [won the league in 2015/16], it is possible. I realise the supporters say we won’t do this and that, but we start the season in three [competitions] and the ambition is to win those three trophies.

“I know it is very, very unlikely we will do that – and any one of them would please the board – but you have to think you can win anything and on our day we can beat anybody.”
