West Ham injury news: Felipe Anderson, Sebastien Haller and Mark Noble in line to return against Watford

West Ham hope to have Mark Noble, Sebastien Haller and Felipe Anderson back from injury at Watford on Saturday.

Captain Noble has missed the first two games of the season with a calf problem but the midfielder is due to return to training this week.

It remains to be seen if Noble will be ready to come straight back into the side given he missed a chunk of pre-season, but even having him back on the bench would be a boost for the Hammers when they go in search of their first win of the season.

Haller, West Ham’s record £45million signing, was ruled out of Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Brighton with a swollen knee and Anderson sat out at the Amex because of a thigh problem.

But Pellegrini is optimistic the pair will be fit to face Watford.

Without Noble, Haller and Anderson, West Ham had to settle for a point at Brighton in another game that had VAR drama.

At 0-0, Brighton had Leandro Trossard’s goal ruled out for offside in the build-up with both teams ready to kick-off.

West Ham went in front in the second half through Javier Hernandez but Trossard equalised for Brighton. The Hammers were improved from their 5-0 defeat to Manchester City on the opening weekend and Pellegrini will have been encouraged by the performance of Manuel Lanzini, who is showing signs he is getting back to his best after his knee injury.

West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski said: "Last weekend to lose at home in such a manner, conceding five goals, it was not nice so you always want to bounce back as soon as you can. That is what we did.

"It was maybe not the best football we have played over 90 minutes but there were some little patches in the game that we can be pleased with. Hopefully that will help us develop more going into the season."
