West Ham XI vs Norwich: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup, latest injuries for Premier League game

David Moyes is hoping Robert Snodgrass could yet play a part in West Ham's survival bid having returned to light training this week.

It was doubtful whether the midfielder - who was in fine form before lockdown - would play again this term following a problem with a disc in his back.

However, while he will not be available for the trip to former club Norwich on Saturday, Moyes would be delighted to bring him back in to feature at some point across the final weeks of the season.

"We are still waiting on Robert Snodgrass who has done a little bit of light training today," said Moyes. "Same as Felipe Anderson but both are not available for this game. I hope that I might get them back after this game, possibly.

"It would be great [to have Snodgrass back] but, realistically, getting over the lockdown period and then this quick period of games it would be difficult for them to get up to speed quick enough. If we can get them back for any small period that would be great."

The Hammers sit three points above the bottom three and a win at Carrow Road would see the hosts' relegation back to the Championship confirmed and move the Hammers to the brink of safety with three games to go

Moyes was able to welcome Sebastien Haller back to the fold from the bench in Wednesday's defeat to Burnley. While the club record signing is not at full fitness yet following a hip problem, he remains a vital part of the West Ham manager's plans.

"The thing is we can't really judge his form because he has played 20 or 30 minutes so we have got nothing really to go on," Moyes said. "We are just bringing him back from injury, he is an important player for us.

"Is he fully fit? I would say no at the moment but I think he is capable of helping us out and hopefully he will regain his match fitness quite quickly."
