'We've got a chance!' Trevor Sinclair tells The 32 why England could win the World Cup

Trevor Sinclair told Yahoo’s The 32 why he believes England can now go all the way in the World Cup.

The former Three Lions man, who played at the 2002 finals, was special guest on Thursday’s episode of our daily World Cup show.

And the ex-QPR and West Ham winger said England’s set pieces could help them reach the final in Russia.

Sinclair, 45, said: ‘It’s the way we’ve beaten them (Tunisia and Panama). We’ve kept possession really well.

‘Our set pieces are almost like the NFL, with the intricacy they’ve been using the score goals and create chances.

‘A lot of goals are scored in that way and if we can keep it nice and tight at the back I think we’ve got a great chance.’

England face Belgium in their final group G fixture in Kaliningrad, having already qualified for the last 16.

If they win the group, they could face Brazil in the quarter finals, while finishing second would mean they’re more likely to face Switzerland or Sweden.

Belgium, meanwhile, are likely to rest some of their star names for later in the tournament.

Belgian superfan Wouter, however, told The 32 he still wants his country to beat England to make up for their World Cup heartache in Italia ’90.

England beat Belgium in the last 16 thanks to a David Platt late volley in extra time.

Wouter said: ‘I hope they all want to win this game. I want to win this game.

‘It was in the knockout stages, we had the best goalkeeper so we were going to win the shootout, then David Platt stepped up and scored a last-minute goal, so I want revenge!’
