Why fans may want to get to Friday's Warrington Wolves game earlier than usual
SUPPORTERS heading to Warrington Wolves’ clash with Huddersfield Giants on Friday may now wish to head to The Halliwell Jones Stadium a little earlier than usual.
The club have confirmed that the Academy fixture due to take place between the two clubs this weekend has been moved to be the curtain-raiser to the Super League clash, giving the club’s young stars a chance on the bigger stage.
The Academy game, which is included in the price of a match ticket, will kick off at 5.35pm before the first-team match at 8pm.
Warrington’s under 18s will look to, temporarily at least, move level on points with leading pair Wigan Warriors and St Helens with a victory – they currently sit third having won five of their seven matches this year.
By contrast, Huddersfield have won three and lost four to sit seventh in the competition table.
