Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham side could cause some real problems for their opponents next season if everything clicks into place in attack. Boasting some very good options in the final third, Postecoglou did mention a couple of times last term that his side are still at "the infancy" of their attacking play.

Attack is very much an area that Tottenham are looking to address before the start of the 2024/25 campaign. The club have already confirmed the return of Timo Werner on a season-long loan deal and hopefully a new striker will sign on the dotted line in the not too distant future.

An additional option on the wing would also give Spurs a big boost going into the new season as Postecoglou is going to require a bigger squad this time around with Europa League football on the agenda. So what exactly would constitute a dream transfer window for Tottenham when it comes to their attack? football.london takes a look below.

Permanent exits

As important as incomings are at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer, outgoings need to take place in order to help Postecoglou form his perfect attack. One player who needs to move on for the sake of his career is Bryan Gil.

Rather than heading out on loan once again, the Spaniard remained in north London but only made 12 appearances in all competitions. It's clear to see that his long-term future is away from Tottenham and the Lilywhites shouldn't be short on suitors for the 23-year-old.

Question marks may also surround Manor Solomon's future after an injury-hit season restricted him to six outings for Spurs. Another player who could be in line to exit Tottenham permanently is Troy Parrott.

Following a standout year in the Eredivisie with Excelsior Rotterdam after hitting 17 goals, a number of clubs, including AZ Alkmaar, are interested in signing the Republic of Ireland international on a permanent basis. Tottenham now need to decide whether Parrott plays a part for Postecoglou next season or he moves on elsewhere.

As he is now 22 years of age and has had five loan spells away from the club, it is perhaps either a permanent exit for the Dublin-born player or he remains in N17.

Loan moves

There will also be loan exits ahead of the 2024/25 Premier League season. Dane Scarlett looks set to be one of those to depart on a temporary basis after things just didn't quite go his way at Ipswich Town.

In a year in which he needed to kick on from his Portsmouth loan, the striker only made 12 appearances off the bench for the Tractor Boys before returning to Tottenham in January and now he needs regular football to come his way next term. Another loan move could be in the offing for Alejo Veliz after his short time with Sevilla.

As Spurs' non-homegrown numbers could prove problematic when it comes to naming their Premier League and Europa League squads next season, a loan may be better for Veliz rather than staying behind and potentially missing out on their European squad as a result. The big advantage of another loan spell for the Argentine is that he will hopefully return a much more experienced player providing that regular minutes are there for him.

Williams signs

Nico Williams could turn out to be a pivotal figure for Spain at Euro 2024 after such a good season in an Athletic Bilbao shirt. The left-sided player contributed with eight goals and 17 assists in his 37 games in all competitions.

Going on the numbers he posted for Athletic Bilbao, it's not hard to see why the 21-year-old has been linked with a move to some of Europe's biggest teams.

Williams' contract, which he signed in December 2023, is believed to contain a release clause worth around £43million. That could be quite the deal for a player of his calibre - though he is reported to be on a high wage after signing fresh terms.

Although Spurs do have options in Son Heung-min and Werner down the left, Williams would only give the team more quality and he could potentially prove to be Son's long-term replacement as he will only be turning 22 in July. The Pamplona-born player does also have plenty of experience operating from the right wing, thus giving Postecoglou and Spurs plenty of options.

New striker arrives

Tottenham were unable to find Harry Kane's long-term successor last summer and it is imperative they manage to do so ahead of the new season. Newcastle United's Alexander Isak would undoubtedly be the dream signing for Tottenham when it comes to signing a new striker after the Swede's outstanding season on Tyneside.

However, he would cost a considerable sum of money after joining Newcastle in a £63million club-record deal from Real Sociedad two years ago. Other options Tottenham could possibly consider are Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting CP, Dominic Solanke of Bournemouth or Brentford's Ivan Toney.

It has been reported that Solanke has a £65million release clause in his contract but it can only be activated by certain clubs. The ex-Chelsea youngster would help Tottenham out with their homegrown numbers and the same goes for Toney, who looks on course to depart Brentford ahead of the new season.

Whoever joins Tottenham this summer will then compete with Richarlison for a place in the middle of the team's three-man attack.
