Who will win Stars vs. Oilers Game 3? Stanley Cup Playoffs predictions, odds

The NHL's Western Conference Finals roll into Edmonton for the first time in the series for an important Game 3 on Monday night.

The Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars find themselves at a 1-1 series tie after the first two games in Dallas. After the Oilers pulled off a big Game 1 win in double overtime, the Stars answered with a 3-1 Game 2 win to even the series as it heads to Canada.

Edmonton is looking for its first conference championship since the 2005-06 season and hoping to become the first Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup since the 1993 Canadiens. Dallas is trying to make a second Stanley Cup Finals appearance in the last five years. The Stars haven't won the Stanley Cup since 1999.

Here's what to know ahead of Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.

Stars vs. Oilers Game 3 predictions

Sportsbook Wire: Oilers 3, Stars 2

Kevin J. Erickson writes: "Edmonton did a good job gaining the road split in Dallas, seizing home-ice advantage from the Stars. Now, the Oilers look to keep that advantage in their 1st home date of the series. Edmonton has won 3 of the past 4 games at home, and it is 4-2 in 6 home dates in the postseason."

Covers.com: Oilers' Stuart Skinner will have a big game

Neil Parker writes: "Oilers No. 1 Stuart Skinner has found his game. He’s turned in a .921 SV% and 1.62 GAA across his past four starts following a two-game breather last round, and his saves total has bottomed out. Skinner ... [has] gone under the number in seven of his past eight games, so we're landing a low number Monday. Hats off to the Oilers, but the Stars are too well coached to continue being so passive in the offensive zone. Skinner is going to see more rubber in Game 3."

Winners and Whiners: Stars to win

Chris King writes: "Dallas is 5-1 on the road in the postseason and won’t be rattled by playing in Edmonton. Take the Stars in this contest as they get the victory to regain home ice advantage."
