Rowan Cheshire finished 7th in the ski halfpipe final on Tuesday as Team GB's wait to reach their medal target of five went on at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

It comes days after Britain celebrated a 'Super Saturday' as Lizzy Yarnold retained her skeleton title and Laura Deas and Izzy Atkin also won bronze medals.

The team's success added to Dom Parsons' bronze in the men's skeleton on Friday and means they have already equalled the record four-medal haul from both the Chamonix and Sochi Games.

The current group is largest-ever British team at any Winter Olympics and is made up of 59 athletes, three more than the group that went to Sochi in 2014.

Great British athletes are competing across 11 of 15 disciplines in Pyeongchang. But they have recorded a modest return over the years, collecting just 34 medals since the inaugural Winter Olympics were held in Chamonix, France, in 1924.

History suggests that the Norwegians are the ones to watch, with a whopping 118 gold medals to their name - and 332 in their history.

The United States boasts 284 medals heading into this year’s competition - 96 of which were gold - while hosts South Korea have 53.

But who will come out on top at this year’s games? Stay tuned to Standard Sport to find out.
