Great Britain women will take to the rink on Friday when victory against Sweden will guarantee Eve Muirhead's curling team a medal.

Muirhead, who skippered the team to a bronze medal in Sochi four years ago, will aim to go two better in the coming days.

A win on Friday will guarantee Team GB at least a silver medal, while defeat will send them into a do-or-die bronze medal contest.

If Team GB's curlers do land a medal for the second successive Games, it would be Britain's fifth of the Olympics marking their biggest medal haul at a Winter Games.

Britain celebrated a 'Super Saturday' last weekend as Lizzy Yarnold retained her skeleton title and Laura Deas and Izzy Atkin also won bronze medals.

The team's success added to Dom Parsons' bronze in the men's skeleton on Friday 16 and means they could well meet the medal target set by UK Sport ahead of the Games.
