World Cup 2022 score predictions for England vs USA today
After an impressive opening victory over Iran, Gareth Southgate's England are one win away from a place in the knockout stages.
They take on the USA this evening (7pm kick-off UK time) knowing three points will secure a place in the last 16.
Harry Kane is fit to start the game following his injury scare against Iran, and Southgate looks likely to select his star striker given his comments in his pre-match press conference.
The England boss was asked if Kane would be in the starting XI, and Southgate replied: "Harry's good. He came through training no problems so yes, it would be a brave decision to leave him out of the starting team!"
The Three Lions have faced USA twice before in major tournaments – but are yet to win. Their defeat in 1950 still ranks as arguably the biggest World Cup upset of all time and the countries also drew 1-1 in 2010.
