Yahoo Sport UK has teamed up with Bet4Causes to bring you a preview of the day’s British racing – and The Night Hawk marks your card.

Each day we will provide you with a preview of the day’s racing, offering what the experts feel will be the value bets of the day.

Take a look at our Lucky 15 selections (four singles, six doubles, four trebles and a four-fold) for the British and Irish meetings on Monday, July 18, 2016.

LUCKY 15 SELECTIONS

TROPICAL ROCK (Windsor 5.45) represents a jockey/trainer combination who could not be in better form. Jockey Jim Crowley has ridden 10 winners in the last seven days, while Ralph Beckett has saddled as many winners in the last 10 days. Tropical Rock has had two starts and been placed both times without winning. Third on his debut at Ascot (form subsequently franked by the second and sixth), the son of Fastnet Rock was a two-length runner-up to the smart debutant Easy Victory in a hot 6f Newmarket fillies’ maiden 11 days ago. She travelled well on the fast ground and if she goes into the stalls – she has played up on both starts – she looks sure to have a good chance in the 6f fillies’ maiden.

THREE DUCHESSES (Ayr 1.55) is another filly with a couple of runs under her belt. Trained by Michael Bell, the two-year-old daughter of Dutch Art ran down the field on her 6f debut at Newbury in a soft-ground novices’ event and was friendless in the market on her second start at the same track, but upper her game to finish third to the two market leaders. She was staying on well at the finish and as a half-sister to 7f-7.4f winner Three Graces, today’s 7f trip should be ideal. While she will be interesting when she runs in nurseries, the fillies’ maiden auction stakes in which she runs today does not look to have such strength in depth as her first two races did.

TOFFEE APPLE (Ayr 5.40) won at Hamilton over a mile 10 days ago and won again under a 6lb penalty at Beverley last Tuesday when upped in trip to 1m2f. She bids for a quick hat-trick under an extra 6lb penalty, and races off a mark of 54. She had to work hard for her latest success and the expected good to soft ground should be ideal. Dropping back in trip to a mile is in her favour and if she is able to back up after two quick runs, Keith Dalgliesh’s filly is worth sticking with in a winnable class 6 handicap.

GO ON GO ON GO ON (Windsor 7.50) has won two of her last four outings and appears to have strengthened up since landing a 6f Wolverhampton maiden in December. On her second start back after a five-month break, the Clive Cox-trained daughter of Medicean showed her well-being with a close-up fourth to Very Honest over 6f at Goodwood. That was her turf debut and she dropped back to 5f for her first turf win last time at Bath with the stiff uphill finish helping her. She is a filly who will get further than 6f so it is some surprise that she is kept to 5f tonight, particularly on this easier track.
