Take a look at our Lucky 15 selections (four singles, six doubles, four trebles and a four-fold) for the British and Irish meetings on Tuesday, July 5, 2016.

LUCKY 15 SELECTIONS

MISS CRICK (Uttoxeter 5.50) seeks a hat-trick after desplaying a net turn of foot to see off For Goodness Sake at Ffos Las last month. Alan King’s mare appears to have flourished in the last couple of months and he victory on her penultimate start at Worcester appears to have helped her confidence. She goes in a competitive conditional jockeys’ novices’ hurdle and while young Kevin Dowling is the least experienced pilot, he is an up-and-coming claimer who takes a useful 8lb off her back in the extended 1m7f event.

MR ORANGE (Pontefract 2.40) takes a drop back to 5f and from the foot of the weights in this 0-75 handicap, holds a fair chance of gaining a second career success. Paul Midgley’s representative scored at the sixth time of asking at Thirsk in May and was not beaten far next time out at Redcar. Though beaten two lengths when equipped with cheeckpieces over 6f here last time, he did well considering the poor draw. He should be in the shake-up, running off the same mark of 61.

MAYASA (Wolverhampton 5.55) takes a step up in trip to 1m4f, having shown a fair level of form in her first two handicaps. She won a mile maiden by six lengths at Southwell in December and was placed subsequently on both starts at Lingfield, spaced five months aside of each other. She has been ridden prominently and it is likely that James Tate’s three-year-old will attempt to dictate matters again. She looks to hold a fair chance if handling the extra distance.

LUTINE CHARLIE (Brighton 7.10) is no world beater, as his official handicap mark of 51 suggests. However, he has been knocking on the door at a lowly level, particularly at this switchback track and went down by half a length on his latest run here two weeks ago. Emma Owen’s nine-year-old is only a couple of pounds higher than when last scoring in February and a bold bid is expected over this mile trip.
