Take a look at our Lucky 15 selections (four singles, six doubles, four trebles and a four-fold) for the five British meetings and the fourth day of Ireland’s Punchestown Festival on Friday, April 29, 2016…

LUCKY 15 SELECTIONS

MY TENT OR YOURS (Punchestown 5.30) has no Annie Power to contend with in the Irish Champion Hurdle and Nicky Henderson’s nine-year-old can gain compensation for having his colours lowered at Cheltenham and at Aintree by the wonder-mare. The selection (above, right) had been off the track for almost two years before running in the English Champion Hurdle and looked in fine fettle in failing to concede an allowance to Willie Mullins’ charge. He was unsuited by the extra distance and very soft ground at Aintree, but conditions are very much in his favour today as he takes on unbeaten mare Vroum Vroum Mag.

NOT YOUR CALL (Lingfield 3.15) had dropped to a career-low mark of 49 before showing signs of a revival when second at Kempton last month. Off the same mark, he went one better here over 7f with a re-fitted hood and the 5lb claim of Callum Shepherd helping. He has 3lb extra today, which does not seem excessive, although Danny Brock can only claim 3lb. He is also up to a mile, which he has won off in the past. This lowly handicap won’t take a lot of winning and he is one of the few in form.

THE BLUE BOMBER (Fontwell 8.05), who was nosed out of his Lingfield all-weather bumper on his debut, made plenty of the running next time up at Cheltenham, only to run a little green round the bends. Mick Channon’s youngster will invariably be better over hurdles, but may be able to get off the mark in this sphere, particularly against lesser opposition that he encounters today.

MAY BE SOME TIME (Chepstow 1.45) was a course and distance winner last May off a 3lb lower mark but Stuart Kittow’s representative was consistent without winning thereafter. Following a six-month break, he retuned over hurdles at Taunton, running a fine second to Here’s Herbie last month. He should strip fitter for that and his liking for this track means he is a value bet in the 1m4f handicap.
