Take a look at our Lucky 15 selections (four singles, six doubles, four trebles and a four-fold) for the British meetings on Monday, September 26, 2016.

LUCKY 15 SELECTIONS

PRECIOUS PLUM (Bath 4.40) scored at Wolverhampton two weeks ago and may well follow up in the second division of the 5½f nursery. Chris Dwyer’s Equiano filly got off the mark at the fourth attempt, having had three previous runs without success at Chelmsford over 5f and 6f. She broke slowly and failed to settle at Wolverhampton, but she stepped up on her previous form off a mark of 65 when scoring by half a length from Coping Stone. She left the impression that there was more to come and Silvestre De Sousa retains the ride.

DANZENO (Hamilton Park 3.50) was unable to take advantage of a drop in class to Listed company over 6f at York last time, having to settle for second place behind Nameitwhatyoulike. However, the Michael Appleby-trained five-year-old has been a regular in Group 1 and Group 2 company all summer, so should appreciate today’s drop into a 6f conditions race on a track that he last recorded a victory, almost a year to the day. Though he has yet to race on heavy ground, his best form has come with cut in the ground.

BALLYBOLLEY (Newton Abbot 2.30) is one of just a trio who line up for the 2m novices’ chase and will find this task a little easier than when last seen running fourth of five to Douvan in the Grade 1 Maghull Novices’ Chase at Aintree in April. The Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained seven-year-old has previously scored in a high-class 2m4f handicap chase at Haydock. Though 1-8 over fences, the experience he has over his two rivals (main contender Marracudja makes his first start over fences) means he looks the one to beat.

TEMPLEROSS (Newton Abbot 3.00) got off the mark at the third attempt under Rules when taking a 2m heavy-ground bumper at Uttoxeter in December, staying on well. He was pitched into better company at Kempton when last seen in February and under a penalty, did well to chase home Bolving. The son of Presenting makes his hurdling debut in receipt of 18lb from Rainy City, who on a couple of modest races in the spring, and the selection looks sure to be at home over this 1m5½f trip.
