Yahoo XI: Can you beat our teams for Gameweek 25?

Gameweek 25 kicks off on Saturday with 6 games on Saturday, and a further 3 on Sunday and Monday when Manchester City travel to Bournemouth.

Gameweek 24 saw both our Daily Fantasy teams break the 100-point barrier, and we’re hoping to continue those scores.

Saturday’s 6 Daily Fantasy matches sees 3 of the top 6 in action as Manchester United host Watford and Liverpool do battle with Tottenham in the late kick off but there are also plenty of goals in the 4 remaining 3pm kick offs.

At the back, with Man United at home to Watford and Everton playing Middlesbrough, we’re backing both of those teams to keep a clean sheet and in selecting Seamus Coleman and Antonio Valencia, we’re hopeful of some attacking returns as well.

In the midfield, James Milner is likely to continue his consistent scoring at Anfield, while Spurs’ Son Heung-min has been in good form recently and could be in line to start against Liverpool. United should see plenty of the ball at home against Watford, which should see plenty of opportunities for the likes of Juan Mata and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to get on the ball and create chances for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to score. Speaking of which…

Ibrahimovic just edges out Romelu Lukaku because his match appears to have the potential for more goals (on paper at least). Jermain Defoe gets the nod thanks to his strong form and a home match against a Southampton side in freefall, while Sam Allardyce will be looking for a response against Stoke and Christian Benteke will be key for that – he still scored 10 points in a 4-0 loss in GW 24.

There are 3 games over Sunday and Monday which are headlined by Manchester City and Chelsea.

Chelsea travel to Burnley where they have a good chance to record a cleansheet, so David Luiz and Thibaut Courtois get the nod from us. Manchester City’s Aleksandar Kolarov joins them, while with Swansea hosting goal-shy Leicester we’re taking a punt on Alfie Mawson – he’s also popped up with a few goals.

Manchester City host Bournemouth (a side who can’t defend at the moment) so we’ve picked a trio of Citizens in the midfield – Kevin De Bruyne, Yaya Toure and David Silva. But City’s defence is the strongest either, and their could be chances for Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser on the counter. Gylfi Sigurdsson rounds out our midfield, with Leicester coming to south Wales there is a strong chance the Icelandic international could boss the game for the Swans.

Gabriel Jesus has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water and he should get plenty of chances to score against the Cherries, and he’s still less than £20. Our other striker is Fernando Llorente, the big Spaniard is due another big performance and he could deliver it against an inviting Leicester defence.
