Yarmouth and Salisbury tips: Gosden and Dettori to team up for success

Salisbury – 14:00 – Joegogo – 11/4 – 1pt
Placed on both starts over the minimum trip at this course, he steps up a furlong today which should squeeze out the extra improvement needed to break his maiden tag.

Yarmouth – 14:15 – Tivoli – 15/8 – 2pts
Trainer John Gosden has a terrific record with his 2yo’s at this track, boasting a 31% strike rate over the last five years. This dark Angel filly cost 180,000 guineas as a yearling and looks the one to beat on paper.

Yarmouth – 15:45 – Hakeem – 5/2 – 1pt
Hakeem was impressive when winning at 12/1 here back in April on debut. The third that day has since gone on to win and everything looks set for another bold bid today.

Luca Cumani’s filly has been crying out for a step up in trip having finished strongly on her previous races over shorter. She runs off the same mark as she did when finishing third at Newmarket and also has Jamie Spencer on-board again today.
Roscomon – 18:10 – Robin Des Foret – 5/2 – 1pt
Unbeaten over hurdles, Willie Mullins’ 7yo scored over the minimum trip at Tipperary before making all the running in a three mile race at Kilbeggen. Expect Ruby Walsh to have him handy early on and dominate from the front.
