Young Pak cricketers take lessons from ex-Lanka captain Jayasuriya

Islamabad, Aug.1 (ANI): Aspiring young cricketers at the Army Public School in Peshawar which was attacked by the Taliban in December last year, recently took lessons in the sport from former Sri Lankan captain Sanath Jayasuriya. It maybe recalled that over 140 people, mostly students, were killed at the school. Jayasuriya said that he was happy to visit the school and interact with the students. Pakistan, he said, is a sports-loving nation, and he was hopeful that cricket would be played again in its stadiums. Jayasuriya also paid a visit to the Corps Headquarter Peshawar and met with Corps Commander Lieutenant General Hidayat ur Rehman. (ANI)
