Zoë Kravitz Is Alluring in All Black at Saint Laurent Pre-Oscars Dinner

'The Batman' actress stepped out at the fashion brand's Los Angeles event

Zoë Kravitz is closing out the awards season out in style. 

The Batman actress, 35, was one of many celebrities who attended Saint Laurent's glamorous pre-2024 Oscars dinner and party on Friday. During the Los Angeles event, she was seen wearing a sheer black halter gown.

The gown was draped across her body, creating the illusion of a wrap dress that cinched at her hip with more fabric than seen by her bust or legs. The halter neckline allowed for her dress to be backless. The sheer fabric wrapped around her neck, then around her shoulders and ribcage, framing her chest that only included one layer of fabric exposing her nipples.

The dress' skirt included several layers, one of which created a slit that provided a peek at her leg that was covered by one layer of the sheer fabric.

She accessorized minimally, and only wore a pair of dangle drop earrings. Kravitz's glam was also minimal, with her hair in sleek bun and her makeup with a simple smokey eye and nude matte lipstick.

The luxury fashion brand, meanwhile, partnered with Vanity Fair and NBCUniversal for the event, which honored Oppenheimer, the Academy Awards' most-nominated movie of the year.

In addition to Kravitz, several stars of director Christopher Nolan's World War II drama, including acting nominees Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr. and Casey Affleck, were spotted among the crowd. Other notable attendees included Hailey Bieber, Sharon Stone, Jon Hamm, Donald Glover and Salma Hayek.

In fact, both Bieber, 27, and Kravitz previously attended Saint Laurent's exclusive pre-Oscars bash in 2022, sporting edgier looks, from Bieber's black leather jacket and lace pants combo to Kravitz's baby bangs paired with an off-the-shoulder top and jeans. 

At the 94th Academy Awards the following night, the YSL beauty global ambassador went more glam, channeling Audrey Hepburn in a baby pink strapless gown by creative director Anthony Vaccarello. Kravitz paired the look with a stunning diamond necklace, understated makeup and her signature bangs.

More recently, Kravitz supported the fashion brand during its Paris Fashion Week show in February. Showcasing its fall/winter 2024 collection, Saint Laurent debuted several nipple-forward, skin-baring looks. 

At the event, several stars — including Olivia Wilde and Georgia May Jagger — donned nipple covers for the daring outfits while Kravitz went braless and embraced the thin fabric of her brown midi dress.
