​The Kop legend admitted recently that he and current Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp have been in contact regularly, and that he would be interested in the future in joining the club to make the transition from academy graduate, to club captain, to manager.


As he nears the end of his playing days with LA Galaxy, after admitting this could be his last season playing professional football, Gerrard has kept it no secret that he would be available for hire immediately, and is edging closer following his work towards his UEFA 'A' licence whenever he returns to England.


The captain who led by example throughout his entire career epitomises Liverpool football club, and the softly spoken man would show his wisdom and maturity in the spotlight of press conferences, whilst showing his passion and love for the club on the sidelines.
