    LONDON, Aug 31 (Reuters) - Werder Bremen have signed the Arsenal midfielder Serge Gnabry, the German club's official Twitter account said on Wednesday. Arsenal team mates and German internationals Per Mertesacker and Mesut Ozil "spoke very positively about the club" he was quoted as telling a news conference. "I've come to Bremen to get some playing time, develop further and help the team," he added.     (Adds details and background) ZURICH, Aug 31 (Reuters) - The International Olympic Committee said on Wednesday it had disqualified six sportspeople, including three Russian medallists, for failing doping tests at the Beijing 2008 Games. The sanctions come amid a crackdown on Olympic athletes' use of banned performance-enhancing substances that has now spilled over to the Paralympics Games as well. In the latest move, the IOC disqualified Russian bronze-medalist weightlifter Nadezda Evstyukhina, silver-medalist weightlifter Marina Shainova, and Tatyana Firova, who finished second with teammates in the 4x400m track event. Russia is appealing the International Paralympics Committee's decision this month to ban its athletes from the Sept. 7-18 competition.
