Borussia Dortmund midfielder Sven Bender has been ruled out for around 10 weeks with a groin injury. The Bundesliga club says the extent of the injury was revealed in an examination Sunday Feb. 23, 2014  by team doctor Markus Braun. Bender needs to avoid any sporting exertion for six weeks and Braun predicts a subsequent four-week recuperation period. Bender joins fellow midfielders Ilkay Gundogan and Jakub Blaszczykowski, as well as defender Neven Subotic, on the club's long-term injury list
