Cheryl has taken to social media to poke fun at an apparent wardrobe malfunction she suffered during Girls Aloud's much-anticipated new tour this past weekend.

The singer, 40, has joined forces with Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh for the tour, which kicked off just a few days ago. This marks their first tour without the late Sarah Harding, who sadly passed away in 2021.

The tour got underway on Friday night at Dublin's 3ARENA, followed by a second show at the same venue on Saturday. During the performance, the girls stand on platforms wearing long red skirts that are supposed to inflate, however, footage from the show shows Cheryl performing in a skirt that didn't inflate, while her bandmates' skirts puffed up as planned.

Sharing the clip to TikTok, an account run by drag artist Miss Roots wrote: "Justice for Cheryl's inflatable skirt." Over the clip, an audio from their 2006 docuseries "Girls Aloud: Off the Record," played, with the audio taken from a moment in their tour footage where Cheryl is in a tiff with stylist Lauren Jones about her outfit choice for an event.

In the clip, Cheryl she was under the impression she should wear her "own clothes" while the rest of Girls Aloud were decked out in wardrobe selections. Her voice can be heard in the audio saying: "No, all I'm saying is - everybody else is dressed to the nines and I look like a tramp! " To which Lauren reassures her, "You don't look like a tramp, babe."

But Cheryl persists, questioning: "Well why did we not all just get dressed from wardrobe? ".

The TikTok video with the audio and visuals sparked nostalgia among fans and was even shared by Cheryl herself on her Instagram Story this Monday, just before the group hit the stage again. She joined in on the fun with a laughing emoji and captioned her post: "The internet remains undefeated."

Aside from the wardrobe blip, the quartet kicked off their tour with a bang, and paid tribute to their late bandmate Sarah multiple times during the performance.

In one particularly emotive moment, Cheryl can be seen holding onto Nadine's hand, with the latter getting upset after they had streamed an old clip of Sarah on screen while her vocals played through speakers.

The Girls Aloud Show is all set to rock Belfast on Monday night. The band has a busy schedule ahead, with gigs lined up in Manchester, Newcastle, Aberdeen, Cardiff, Liverpool, Birmingham and London over the next few months.
