I can't stop wearing this bargain John Lewis three-piece loungewear set

As someone who works from home most weeks, I love comfy clothing, especially matching pyjama sets—embarrassingly, I have 10 pairs. However, I still want to feel put together, even when I'm just working at my desk in my living room. So, I've been on the hunt for some cosy new loungewear sets that feel like pyjamas but make me look a bit more polished.

Having successfully purchased the Zara Jersey Lounge Set from John Lewis last year, which was a bargain £22 and great value for money, when I saw that a new and improved Three Piece Loungewear Set had been released for an affordable £46, I knew I had to try it.

🛍️ Product reviewed: John Lewis Three Piece Lounge Set
Tested for: One week
Rating: 5/5
💸 Reasons to buy: Super soft and cosy, fits true to size and is great value for money
Reasons to avoid: Only comes in three universal sizes (I'm a size 12 and got a medium)

Colour options: 5 | Sizes: S (8-10), M (12-14), L (16-18)

This chic lounge set is super comfortable and comes in five colours: khaki, charcoal, oatmeal, teal and blush.

A flattering design featuring a vest top, longline cardigan, and joggers with an adjustable waistband, it comes in five colours: khaki, charcoal, oatmeal, teal, and blush (the blush shade is currently sold out). For just £46, you get three pieces, which works out to just over £15 each. These pieces can be endlessly mixed and matched with other items in your wardrobe too.

It's not just me who loves it; this item has already sold out multiple times, but is now finally back in stock for you to snap up. I've been recommending it to everyone I know, whether you're like me and work from home, or if you just love to get cosy when you return from the office to binge-watch a new series on Netflix.

Firstly, it's made from super soft polyester that feels luxurious, doesn't leave fibers behind and washes well. You can pop it in the washing machine on a 40-degree wash and tumble dry on a low temperature, and it will maintain its plush finish.

I love that you can mix and match the versatile pieces with existing items in your wardrobe, making it excellent value for cost per wear. I'll often throw on a hoodie with the vest and joggers when it's a bit chilly, or pair the longline cardigan with leggings and a T-shirt.

It's so soft, and doesn't lose it's luxurious feel when washed. (Yahoo Life UK)

It's perfect also for when you're getting ready for an evening out (hence my red lipstick) post-shower and want something stretchy and snug for doing your hair or make-up.

The trousers and cardigan both have pockets (hurrah!) and feature a relaxed fit, so I feel cosy and comfortable but not drowned in material. The trousers also feature an adjustable waistband, which is useful and I find tucking the vest in is the most flattering fit.

It comes in three universal sizes: small, medium and large. I wear medium and I'm a size 12 with a larger bust and it's the perfect blend between fitting comfortably without being too baggy, so I'd recommend ordering your regular size.

I also opted for the charcoal grey set, but I also love the rich khaki version and the neutral oatmeal shade.

The loungewear set only comes in three universal sizes: small ( sizes 8-10), medium (sizes 12-14), large (sizes 16-18), so I'd like to see John Lewis extend the size range to accommodate for more plus size figures.

I'm also aware that £46 is quite a lot to spend on clothing you're likely to only wear indoors, and yes, you probably could find a cheaper loungewear two-sets.

For example, the ANYDAY Zara Jersey Lounge Set, which I also own from John Lewis, is just £22 and is just as classic and comfy. You can read the full review here.

Comfy and cosy, this lounge set is just what you need in your winter wardrobe (and it's now an absolute bargain).

That said, I think this new three-piece is well worth the money for the amount of wear you will get out of it.
