Prince Harry's blunt four-word response to being asked 'are you happy to be home?'
Prince Harry touched down in the UK on 7 May for a brief two-day trip packed full of events in connection to the Invictus Games' 10th anniversary. The Duke of Sussex made the trip from California without wife Meghan Markle, who he will reunite with on 9 May as they head to Nigeria together.
Harry, 39, attended an event in London on Wednesday (8 May) morning, and upon exiting he waved to crowds. A waiting cameraman then took the opportunity to ask him: "Are you happy to be home?"
Laughing, Harry quickly responded: "Nice to see you," before hopping into the back of a Range Rover.
Despite being just miles away from his father King Charles, it has been confirmed Harry won't be meeting up with his dad while in the UK. The Duke's spokesman confirmed that his dad had made him aware that he did not have time to meet up.
Harry's representative said: “In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not The Duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.
“The Duke, of course, is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.” Buckingham Palace did not release a statement.
Despite missing out on a reunion with his dad, the Duke shows no signs of discontent, with one body language expert even revealing that Harry is feeling “positive and proud.”
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots, body language expert Darren Stanton reveals: “Harry appears to be his most confident self during his return to the UK as he prepares for the Invictus Games. His body language suggests he’s feeling strong, as we can’t see him using self-reassurance gestures - which he often uses when feeling nervous.
“He is seen holding his head up high, with his shoulders back and displaying a bold grin. He’s developed a lot in terms of his inner strength and confidence. It tells us he is feeling very positive and proud about where he is right now. He is in very high spirits.”
While all eyes turn to the Prince and an organisation close to his heart, the Invictus Games, Darren explains that Harry is clearly giving his “full attention and engagement” to everyone he interacts with, a clear sign of his improved confidence.
