Diver Encounters an Injured Stingray Resting Underneath a Pier

A diver encountered an injured stingray while in the water under Blairgowrie pier off the coast of Mornington Peninsula, in Victoria, Australia.

Video filmed by diver Jules Casey shows the injured stingray resting underneath a ledge.

Case told Storyful the cause of the injury is unknown, but several people suggested it might have been caused by a boat propeller.

“The injury looked recent but didn’t appear life threatening,” she explained.

Unfortunately Casey said she hasn’t been able to find the ray again yet to check if it has healed.
