Drone footage shows bombed-out Kharkiv tram depot

STORY: Trams - some pockmarked by shrapnel holes and some trapped under the piles of rubble - were seen stationed inside the workshop and outdoors.

Out 147 trams, only some 20 were not affected by the constant shelling, tram depot director Vladyslav Pryimak told Reuters.

He said the depot came under shelling on February 24, but remained operational for the next few days.

Employees had to regularly take cover in the bomb shelter due to artillery and mortar shelling, according to Pryimak.

Ukraine retook the area around its second largest city Kharkiv in May and has reported small but steady gains in recent days in the south, the biggest swathe Russia retains of the territory it seized after its invasion in February.
