Xander Schauffele holds slim lead after wild day at PGA Championship

So let's talk about the players at the PGA Championship who didn't end up in jail on Friday.

Obviously, the round started a little bit late because of the tragic accident that happened outside of Valhalla golf Club's gates.

And Scotty Scheffer's arrest took up most of the oxygen the first half of the day.

But once play really got started, a number of players put up some deep, deep numbers that ought to make Saturday and Sunday a lot of fun to watch.

Obviously, you've got Xander Shuffle still up at the top of the leader board, although he wasn't able to extend his lead much past what he had on Thursday.

He started the day at minus nine, ended it at minus 12.

Colin Morikawa had five birdies to put himself right in the mix there one stroke behind Scoff and also up theres Fala and a number of other players who have not yet gotten their first major one guy who has obviously Scotty Scheffer, he's got two including the most recent masters.

He's right there at minus nine and then lurking a little bit lower down a couple of, uh, live golfers, enemies rivals.

Now, friends whatever you want to call them.

Brooks, Kepka, Bryson Demba, they're both within reach.

There are about a dozen players who are all within five strokes of Shay's minus 12 lead.

That ought to make for an interesting Saturday and an even better Sunday.
