Arsenal are expected to be busy in this summer's transfer window ahead of the 2024/25 season. Viktor Gyokeres, Benjamin Sesko, Jorrel Hato, Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes are just a few names being linked to the Gunners with Mikel Arteta and Edu keen to strengthen the squad.

It could certainly be argued that, to continue competing with Manchester City, Arsenal need to add depth in every area of the pitch but that is easier said than done. Despite the prize money obtained from their Premier League finish and the funds that will come with another Champions League appearance, Arsenal's financial situation is far from secure.

During the January transfer window, Arsenal made no new signings with concerns over profit and sustainability. One way of removing those concerns will be selling senior players with Aaron Ramsdale, Kieran Tierney, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Emile Smith Rowe and Oleksandr Zinchenko among those that could be sacrificed.

With that in mind, football.london has taken a look at the latest Arsenal transfer rumours with two major exit updates surfacing.

Ramsdale transfer scenario

Earlier this month Ramsdale to Newcastle picked up serious pace before the Arsenal goalkeeper shut down the idea of a transfer agreement already being in place.

Even with his public comments, a departure for Ramsdale from Emirates Stadium seems likely with a new report furthering those expectations. The Telegraph claim Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow is being looked at by Arteta. Liverpool, under Arne Slot, formerly of the Dutch club, are also interested.

football.london says: "This always felt rather unavoidable following Arteta's brutal decision to drop Ramsdale for David Raya back in September. Links to Newcastle and Chelsea were present back in January but a departure mid-season always seemed unlikely.

"Newcastle's interest has continued and there is firm belief a deal will eventually be done with Arsenal seeming to agree on that through their own transfer decisions. Bijlow could be available for just £10million and with the Magpies' opening offer for Ramsdale said to be in the region of £15million, Arsenal are set to hugely benefit.

"Considering his Premier League experience, the Gunners can definitely demand a higher fee with any further funds not used in this potential transfer scenario being used elsewhere."

Lokonga confirms summer decision

Albert Sambi Lokonga could be the first Arsenal player to depart this season, especially given his honest admission. "For me, I had a discussion with Arsenal and the conclusion was the best thing for me was to leave the club," he told BBC Three Counties Radio, via Luton.

"So now it's up to my agent and the club to find something. I still have a contract there, one year plus a one-year option so let's see what happens." The Belgium international has seen the last few months interrupted by injury but prior to that he showed great promise and thus Arsenal will feel as though they can demand a reasonable fee.

football.london says: "It just has not worked out for Lokonga at Emirates Stadium since his move from Anderlecht in 2021. It could be argued his stock significantly increased because of his spell at Kenilworth Road but Arsenal will do well to recoup the £15million spent to sign him three years ago.

"Such a bold statement does at least make it clear what Arsenal's plan is for the midfielder with it entirely possible an early deal is completed that allows Arteta and Edu to use funds obtained on their transfer plans."
