Bayern against Dortmund: the pairing of last season's final match, the DFB Cup final, is also the first competitive fixture of the new season. Double winners FC Bayern take on Bundesliga runners-up Borussia Dortmund in the Supercup final on Sunday at 20.30 CET. fcbayern.de has compiled seven top facts regarding the first title of the season:

FACT 1: The overall Supercup record favours the Bundesliga champions over the cup winners or Bundesliga runners-up. The champions have won nine of the 16 Supercup editions. However, the cup winners have won all of the last five finals.

FACT 2: Bayern and Dortmund face off in the Supercup for the fourth time in five years, and never have the reigning champions prevailed. Borussia have sealed two titles, Bayern won once.

FACT 5: An 81,360 crowd will be watching Sunday's encounter at Dortmund's Signal Iduna Park, which means that every Supercup final since the competition's relaunch in 2010 has been sold out.
