The FA Cup kicks into gear next week with the draw for the third round.

Premier League and Championship teams enter the fray, with Manchester City beginning the defence of the cup won with a 6-0 thrashing of Watford in last season's final.

Chichester City and Maldon & Tiptree remain the lowest-ranked clubs still in the hat ahead of the second-round ties, the Isthmian League residents facing Tranmere away and Newport County at home respectively.

By the close of the third round, 735 qualifying teams would have been whittled down to 32.
